i am SO charmed by this little guy. the angle, the framing, the SHAPE of that dog, and the way it's placed on the chair like a physical object that fell down. i really love this kind of low poly 3d art where the textures are all fuzzy photographs. i'm positively entranced!

(by the way when i link to solflo-keepsakes rather than directly to the artists blog is because they don't have a username.tumblr.com url. long story short, tumblr doesn't have them by default now, so new users that didn't actively toggle them on only have tumblr.com/username, which i'm not 100% sure you can view not logged in? also it looks bad and tumblr will nag you about it, whereas my blog is safe and quiet)
anyway! isn't this piece beautiful? i love ugly baby birds, when their eyes are all bulbous and their eyelids translucent. this is a very nice ugly baby bird. the colors are vibrant and the shapes are cool and confident; the collage lends itself super well to musculature!

speaking of ugly baby birds! look at the detail on this bad boy! i really love the brushwork and colors. the wings are such good texture too, like candlewax.

saw this posted by depths of wikipedia, i'm in love with this photo. it's a really nice edit, stunning composition, beautiful colors. this caught my eye instantly. reminds me of alex colville's paintings. it's so high res too. honestly might get it printed for a silver photo frame i got at the thrift store a while back.
