hi, i'm Sol! my pronouns are they/them and i easily get secondhand nostalgia. the more tech gets needlessly updated into hostility and marketability the more i loathe it! not to be negative here though, petz and the community have brought me nothing but joy, so i'll rephrase that into: tech gets needlessly complex and hostile by the day, so i turn towards the old and the obsolete, the slow and the small web even. also i like virtual pets, and always have.

10 august 2024: a couple more tutorials. new html finalized. idk. just a slow trickle of updates and stuff.
29 july 2024: added a chinchilla persian overwrite and a short tutorial on playscenes with gimp. improving html and css.
21 july 2024: oops this corner of my site has been abandoned forever now. sometimes hobbies wane and stuff. i gotta catchup with the community eventually... "roadmap" also includes improving this html because it's kinda messy. flexbox causes terrible divitis.
02 april 2022 (?): i've mysteriously lost my 'wip hex' folder, gone from my desktop without a trace. updated a couple hex status to reflect that. not actually that big of a deal but still kinda sad. luckily my hexes with more shape changes are safe within my catz folder — i'm currently sitting on a tabby OW (would love to add color variations but i just don't feel like bothering tbh)
